Some cases should be referred, or handled with another lawyer. There is no required contingency percentage. This office will ask other counsel to take the matter at a lower rate than they usually charge.
The client signs one writing before any fee is divided. That writing names who is responsible. The savings are the lower percentage, kept in the contract.
